Peugeot 108 e-VTi 3dr gets high marks for running costs

Auto Express has scored the Peugeot 108 e-VTi 3dr with high marks for its low running costs.

The compact city-car, which is available in three and five-door Hatch or TOP! Cabrio body styles, comes with a choice of two fuel-efficient and low-emission petrol engines in the 108 enables it to be competitively priced as well as having low ownership cost.

Auto Express wrote in last week's issue: "Low emissions, frugal economy, cheap insurance and good residuals mean the 108 will be cheap to own and run".

The new model is a technical "tour de force", bringing new comfort and convenience features to the city car sector. These include a seven-inch touch-screen infotainment system with DAB digital radio, Mirror Screen with MirrorLink technology and Bluetooth connectivity for smartphones and the safety benefit of steering wheel-mounted controls.

Available in four trim levels: Access, Active, Allure and Feline (three-door models only) which give the 108 a good selection of specifications. Personalisation is a key element of the 108's appeal, with a huge range of colours, ambiences, trims and themes.

The 108 TOP!, which features a retractable fabric roof, is available in both Active and Allure trims.

Design Director of the 108 Ivo Gron said: "The 107 and 108 share the same roots but the 108 is a much more mature vehicle. It's a real Peugeot."
