Ford S-Max retains its title as best SUV

Ford's S-Max was crowned best multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) for the eighth consecutive year at this year's BusinessCar Awards.

The sporty SUV  due to be renewed this summer - tightened its grip on the award, which it's held since 2008. Meanwhile, Ford's iconic Fiesta, the UK's top-selling car, took Business Car's supermini of the year prize.

The Business Car Awards are judged by fleet managers themselves, further endorsing Ford's popularity among fleets. The S-Max has enjoyed a run of success both in the combined fleet and retail market, reaching more than 82,000 UK registrations since its 2006 debut.

Business Car editor Paul Barker said: "Driving enjoyment, efficiency, good running costs and clever technology all combine to make the S-Max a popular choice. Our readers  the people choosing these models for their business  have picked the Fiesta as their favourite mainstream supermini, and that's testament to the car's all-round ability."

New fleet director at Ford of Britain Nick Themistocleous added: "The seven-seat coup� that is the Ford S-Max deserves its superb run of success in the Business Car Awards and its 2015 replacement will enjoy an equally positive response from readers. Ford Fiesta adds another significant accolade to its vast collection of honours."
